Dispatch Master + heavy gain = ?

From all the demos I've seen, the Dispatch Master has "the sound" I've been looking for. I've heard it with a bit of overdriven dirt, but nowhere close to the full-tilt walls of fuzz, death metal crunch, and buzzsaw black metal distortion that I would be using with it.

I read a few people saying it starts to clip and fall apart under heavy gain and that a levelled effects loop helps. My trusty Bassman doesn't have such conveniences. I could try to hustle my uncle out of his Morley FX Blender, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Any awesome brochachos willing to record their Dispatch Master with some monstrous fuzz? I live in nowhere near a shop carrying EQD to try it out.

I play in a death/black metal band and I can say that the dispatch master does clip a bit if you hit it to hard with signal. Low notes tend to clip the hardest. If you havent heard of this company they rent pedals for people to try out. http://www.tryapedal.net/

Thanks for the heads up. That's a shame, as I tune retard low on both guitar and bass and emphasise the lows.

That's a pretty cool service. I'll have to utilise that.

Are there any similar pedals that might work better? Ghost Echo? Carbon Copy + Holy Grail?

Maybe the Mr. Black supermoon or eterna, Catalinbread Montavillian, or boss DD-3.
