Much thanks to GardenoftheDead and the "Heads up sweet shit on Ebay" thread.
I managed to score this from the seller after the auction got zero bids-

Kinda beat up and the victim of a badly executed refinish. It should look like this-

the electronics are good, and all there

The back plate looked like it was sanded with some gritty stuff, and was nicely decorated.

After some work it looks like this-

It wouldn't sit flush in the guitar so the dremmel router came out.

I sanded off the old finsh and applied some black dye.

After sanding it back a bit, I used some masking and added some red.

Some nice figureing on the bottom peice of wood

It's hard to see here but I added some yellow to the middle. Should look nice once its cleared

Thats all for today but I 'm thinking this could be done in about a week.

Skipped out on work a bit early and got back to it. I shot the back and sides with a translucent black that's used for turn signal tints. Ive used this stuff before and you can freehand a nice burst effect with it. we'll see if I can get it to work again.

The black revealed a small crack. I'll be filling that with CA glue before reassembly
With a little clear, the colors start to come out.

Spray-paint pro-tip- Warm up the can of paint prior to spraying by putting it in a small bowl in the sink and running hot water through the bowl. It makes the paint flow better IMO.

It's crazy how fast you're going, looks awesome too. Did you spray it with poly or nitro?

Poly, I'd like to get into nitro but poly is just easier and less toxic.
