Just watched the demo for the Red Panda Context verb...I'm pretty blown away.

Major want.
Does anyone on here have one? What are y'all's thoughts?

Been fighting the GAS on this one awhile now, then I go getting a Particle. Now I'm gonna eventually cave and get a Context, just a matter of time.

Yeah, thought it was just another overhyped verb, then I listened to it...Sounds better to me than any other verb I can think of...
How do you like the Particle, Schnikes?

I'd love to try one. It sounds like it could cop the long, soft, blurry Hall tone I love on the Cathedral very well.

Been wanting one of these and the particle for a long time. Will probably get the particle, because my RRR is more than wonderful on the verbs and I have the Muza ambiance to cover the cathedral sounds somewhat.

I have an RRR as well, but I have a slight verb addiction.
This is a problem.
But there can never be too much verb

But this is so much easier than finding real cathedrals to play in!

But not as fun... I'm into moving amps and mics and shit around whatever room I'm in to get a sound...

I totally agree. I love that element of capturing natural verbs. I rarely used pedal verb in recording with my old group.
But now I'm cooped up in a tiny basement with no mics to my name anymore...Got to work with the fake verbz

The Particle is incredible, love most every delay and pitch setting! Not something I'd use as my only delay but the ultimate noisemaking outer space companion delay for sure. The "Freeze" function is super. Let's you set a dynamic threshold that controls freezing of the delayed signal, even going into a continuous loop at max threshold settings and allowing you to layer it with dry signal.
Just tons of sounds to experiment with and a very intuitive control set to keep me from getting annoyed and saying fuck it, setting, then forgetting.
Only reason I went for the Particle first is cuz I had nothing even remotely close to it. Pretty good on verb tho, big box RRR that hasn't been bested yet and that new DBA incoming...

Yeah, so after spending some time with the DBA, I like it, but my Context GAS is still going strong! Think I'm gonna jump on Prymaxe's $30 off coupon, just sold my Ghost Echo, then I'll sell my VanAmps Reverbamate as I rarely use it. Context demos sound too good, must have! Interested to see how it compares to my big box RRR. I can't imagine it replacing the Dr. Scientist but I bet they complement one another wonderfully...

I agree! I'd love to hear it paired with my RRR. After three years, something may bump my RV-3 for the ambient verb position...
What's up with this $30 off coupon?
