I FINALLY got the sound I've been looking for... (CLIP!!)

I've always wanted the aluminum of my guitar to come through the mix of my pedalboard and it's been a goal of mine to find well rounded dirt that can get heavy but still clear enough to hear the clank and clang and squak of metal.
I'd been using various things, like a SHO and Super Duper to just boost my amp into fuzz realms but at a certain point they just weren't cutting it and sounded kind of muddy when pushed too hard. Used a Madbean Egghead overdrive, which while it allowed me to have the metallic sound come through, lacked low end and sucked to stack into.
AND THEN I GOT A MINI.
And it blew my mind. I stack my entire pedalboard except for my looper into it. It's got bawls. Lots of bawls. It takes all my other pedals and takes them to the next level. I'd used different preamp pedals to try to do the same thing, but they always for whatever reason never seemed to have enough headroom or sound well enough alone.
BUT NOW I'VE GOT THE MINI.
I got to sit down with it for a while last night and everything just clicked. Mic'd my cabs this morning and did a little bit of a test recording and ITS PERFECT. It can hold it's own in the low-end department. It's not dominating enough to lose the tone of my guitar. The pick dynamics and getting it to drive just sound so natural. Damn, man. Damn.
Life just makes sense with the Mini.
