About the modded DL4..
How durable are they? Would the mods take the infamous problems away (switches) or are there any other vicious problems on this pedal that I should be concerned about? I'm looking at the R3FX modded dl4

DRASP is the way to go!
The single most important mod is replacing those cheap footswitches with the heavy duty momentary variety. That alone will make the DL4 completely dependable. The most common issue in a stock unit is a bad footswitch and they're board mounted so it's a true pain in the ass to repair. Beyond that, I'd say the volume drop mod is the only other necessity.
He offers several other options that increase functionality and sex appeal but those aren't really necessay. The finish options are hard to pass up though....

Thanks I might hit him some words, it's just that there's a guy selling a used clean modded one (volume drop, double preset, switches, custom finish) for around $265.. I don't know if it's a good used price though and anyone knows about R3FX?

Yes I've had my line 6 dl4 modded by r3fx
He upgraded my footswitches, did volume drop, loop switch and double preset mod.
The upgraded footswitches are a godsend and I've had my DL4 for well over 7 years and its still going strong.

Thanks Casavettes. It's just hard to beat the simplicity of the DL4
