Serious questions about a Mobius - feeler research

Hey, guys... I'd like to ask a few questions about the Strymon Mobius
I'm thinking about replacing a few pedals with it. I'd probably buy later in the year, we'l lsee how the summer job goes and if I sell the pedals and such...
1) Catalinbread Heliotrope - I do cleanish bit crushed/slightly ring modded stuff with it.. .from the clips i presume that Mobius does that AWESOMELY, possibly way better for my needs. From what I understand, I can do a bit of bitcrushing with tape warbles at the same time? Can I somehow set the sharpness of the sound?
2) 4ms Tremulus Lune - my go-to standard fast tremolo sound. Nothing mobius or any other trem wouldn't manage to do
3) Digitech PDS 20/20 - this is where it get's tricky... now the Digitech can do a lot of weird stuff, but I mainly use it for the flanger to have a kind of rotary speaker sound to it. Sometimes i'll run it full wet for more vibratoesque feel. From what i've heard, none of this should be a problem.
4) However, I also sometimes use the infinity loop function with flanger to create this oscillating LFO siren sound. Would there be a possibility to recreate similar sound with Mobius? Think A/DA oscillation
5) Is it possible to set the pattern trem for a really choppy square wave cut and use the retriggering via tap footswitch to create faux stuck LP glitches?
6) Do you have to name the bank as a whole or can you name the A and B presets individually?
7) How does the pre/post work? Can it be specifically set for A preset to be in front of my Elements and B preset to be after? In other words - is the pre/post function assigned to the individual presets?
8) Is it a bummer to switch between banks during a song live? Can I scroll through the banks via a knob?
if i come up with anything else, I'll ask later... thanks for the answers

in my exprience with my mobius, its a LOT to remember and learn.
But it keeps you interested in it which keeps you playing music which is boss.

1) Yeah, it can do this. the warble on the lo-fi is set to the depth knob, and you can control how crushed it is with other parameters. You can also set an expression pedal to bring up the warbles when needed.
2) You are golden here.
3) You can do Flanger or Rotary, but not at the same time.
4) I know what you are talking about... there's one patch called "Plasma Siren" if you lower the depth (ccw) you can kinda get close to it... but not really.
5) I use an expression pedal so can't answer that one - but you can get creative with the param knobs and set those to beats for randomizing the pattern rhythm.
6) Individually. Banks don't have names, only presets.
7) Yes, they can be set per patch.
8) You get used to it. Most people use a Disaster Area Controller which makes things a little easier.

Thanks, Jean!!

that was very helpful!

about the siren - I'm pretty sure I will be able to find SOME kind of a freak-out sound in there

The more I think about it, the more one question pops up in my head...
Am i not more of a "multi-pedal" dude? I mean... i've always kind of aimed at more pedals giving me great variety of sounds and creating this magic environment full of inspiration. Seriously - having multiple pedals in front of me have always inspired me way more than having less. I wouldn't necessarily have to use all of them, but it's good they're there
plus there's the whole live-jamming side to our band and i feel that having a multi-effects unit like this could really hold me back

This would be just a huge leap of faith for me and i'm not sure I really want to do it... I know there's time, but i'm seriously getting pissed at myself for creating topics and starting conversations and then just coming back and saying "lawl dudes, nah, no way, i don't dig it"
it's like a choice between having a magic drawing stick that can mimic every pencil, chalk etc. possible... i'd probably be the dude who prefers having thousand pencils and a messy table
i'll have to think a lot

I feel the same way, first I thought it was a bummer I didn't know the Mobius would have a bitcrusher in it when I already ordered my Hexe Bitcrusher III but now I'm really happy I didn't go the Mobius route as multi pedals really aren't for me and there's so many sounds you can't get with it.
For instance, one of my favourite sounds is step phaser -> bitcrusher with maybe a bit of delay thrown on top and the Mobius can't do that on it's own so it would still be down to more pedals.
I also don't like these digital menu's and shit, it just doesn't inspire me as much, I don't use my Timeline that much either.
Some like it and can work with it, some won't I guess.

i've basically thought of pedals like this as production-like tools.......as i have the same notion of going about the creating parameter as you.
Basically each individual pedal has it's own task........AND I AM THE GREAT OVERSEER !!!!!!!!!!

Hi sound brother, amazing track!
How do you get these beautiful sort of arpeggiating overtones, is it the flanger in the Digitech?

Yeah, i'm mainly using the Digitech for this leslie-esque type sound

it's the Flanger setting, i'm not big on flanger, but i love this one
not really a track, just an improvisation

that's why it's so messed up at times... and a bit random

Same here, I'm not big on Flanger but that sounds pretty nice (Deluxe Electric Mistress is nice too).
The sound I was talking about starts around 2.40, in the other Bitcrushing thread you also posted the video in you mentioned it's a Small Stone in that spot.
I have a Small Stone but it doesn't seem to do this sound, though I played one in a store that did, is yours a reissue?
On that spot, are you using the flanger too?
Sorry, don't want to hijack your thread, I'm just curious, great stuff!

Well, with 2 Mobii, you can layer that modulation.
