Hey, ladies.

I'm trying to find something similar to the FB-2, but in a smaller footprint. I've been enjoying the oscillation/feedback on my Demon King, but I'm downsizing my board for my current band and might not be using the DK. I just want to step on a pedal and hear a natural-sounding feedback like an overdriven guitar amp.

If I have to, I'll buy an FB-2 and send it to Danno.

I might have to post this in the Shark Tank and see if someone could do a custom build.

Natural sounding is a slippery slope.

That's the biggest problem with feedback pedals.

Nah, just one. I sold the SVT-CL.

If you dig the DK, why not contact Fuzzrocious to see if it would be possible to get a smaller feedback-only version? I don't know how complicated that would be, circuit-wise, but Ibet they'd entertain the notion.

You could always turn the momentary switch into a non-momentary switch on the pedal so it always feedbacks, that'd probably be the cheapest option

Not trying to undermine the usefulness of the FB-2, but What is preventing you from getting natural feedback from the set up you already have?

when i want guaranteed feedback
i turn on the philosophers tone
crazy controllable
and with the blend
and all the other eq knobs
you can pull out as much of the actual effect as you want
i f thats what your goin for
but i think what it adds is igood anyway
without takin away the sound you got goin on
but the feedback is good
and i use it alot
it swells in just like amp feedback
not all immediate and overpowering
i hope those descriptions made sense
ive tried the fb for a bit too

The problem is I can't get the Demon King feedback to sound right for what I'm doing. Maybe I need to play with it a little more until I get the pitch right. I know it's "semi-tunable" to a note, but it almost goes into self-oscillating/ring mod territory. I've only used it at one practice, so maybe the issue is I just haven't tuned it enough to get the right pitch. Outside of this particular band, the Demon King is just fucking perfect for anything.

When I'm playing, I'm just not getting any feedback (unless I have both the B7K and DK on). Most people would consider that a good thing, but in a crusty grind band my feedback is necessary.

I know Boss pedals don't have a big footprint, but if I could a smaller pedal, it would rule. I would like a smaller board for this particular band.

For what it's worth, here is the current setup for said band:
Atkinson P-Bass
Ampeg SVT-VR
Ampeg SVT-810E
Turbo Tuner
Demon King
Darkglass B7K
M87 Compressor

So...I haven't played with the Demon King, but I would assume this is a momentary feedback loop, rather than what the FB-2 or the DF-2 is doing. They're trying to simulate natural feedback, whereas, if the DK is like my ECT, it's causing a feedback loop that leads to tunable oscillation.

Get a feedback loop, like the Chk Chk Boom, and place your Darkglass in that if board space is an issue.
