Any advice to replace my strymon pedals?

Hi there, like the title, I'm going to sell my strymon pedals, precisely the BlueSky and El Capistan, I really like how they sounds(expecially I love the El Cap), but they are too "standard", I'm really tired of their stereotyped post rockish\shoegaze sounding. I think I'm going to replace my Bluesky with EHX Cathedral (that I sold fot the BlueSky upgrade) and my El Cap for something like EHX SMM Hazarai (for analog warm delay I have DMM Tap Tempo 1100). It's an error? Any advices?
I play in a pumpkinensque Gish\Siamese Dream era band!

Thank you!

i mean, did the pumpkins of that era use much in the way of delay, or deep reverb? i always thought i was op-amp muff with some mxr dist+ and modulation for solos and that was pretty much it. if you're looking for a more interesting delay insofar as timbre goes look at the EAR ad4096 or the malekko 616 lofi.

I forgot Mellon Collie!!! When I was using the Cathedral I really liked his weird sounds, but I think is a "flat" reverb, it's not huge and cavernous like the Blue Sky, but I'm only using the plate mod or normal, I really dislike the shimmer, it's too religious for my likes. I totally love the El Cap, the loop and the muddy reverb ambient trails, but for an analog modulated reverb I found superior the DMM, but it's cool use DMM and the El Cap looper together. Hazarai it's cool for strange\weird\psychedelic sounds, the 30 sec looper and for the reverse. I'll have to buy a third delay pedal and a second reverb?
I play music like Rhinoceros, Hummer, By Starlight, Porcelina, Galapogos, Snail, Starla, strange ambient and noisy music, a bit of Pumpkins, a bit of Shoegaze, a bit of Dream Pop, etc... Maybe I'll keep my pedals... :whateva:
I really hate the GAS when I'm without money... But I really miss the Cathedral, although I know it was a stupid digital toy. :idk:

just curious, have you ever put your reverb before your fuzz? it's: for real

some of the coolest delays/reverb have really low ad/da conversion rates, like 14/15 bits. all dem joy division drums and guitars are like that. shit that's "crappy" is still totally useful and hi-fi stuff can be worthless depending on the application. just gotta find what works for you, naw mean?

There is a lot of delay on Siamese Dream, Soma, Hummer, etc. Also reverse delay... I think the Hazarai would serve you well. I had one way back when and its the best reverse delay I've used. It also has some modes with some unique functions... like a regular delay setting where if you step on the second switch t sample what you just played and play it back in reverse blended in with the delay. The whole pedal made me want to play Soma, haha.

I have no idea. lol. Pretty sure its analog though. I know they updated it a couple of months ago but I don't think they went as far as changing the chips haha
Unless pt2399s are analog :idk:

Soma, I forgot Soma!!!
I know that sometimes the digital artifact in a bad AD\DA converter it's really cool, with my Cathedral i found a realy interesting pad\reverb sounding, but the volume of the trails is too low, while in the bluesky is so huge and cavernous, but for a 300 euros reverb, I'm using only the plate, the 100% wet on the blue sky is a really synthy string paddish, in the Cathedral is too thin for a 100% wet, but the reverse was really cool placed before fuzz\distortion. The El Cap is cool, a really magic pedal, when I set long feedback, wow and flutter max and the internal spring reverb max, and playing fuzz or distortion, it's like a human self oscillating choir pad.

Hey, does the supa puss still have that volume/mix control issue (at least for me it is)? I've had it from the first batch and can't stand loosing the dry sound when cranking up the delay volume, returned it the next day. I heard that I wasn't the only one returning it and they finally did something about it, but I'm not sure..

I was really in gassed with the supa puss, but when I read there is a volume issue I changed my mind. :(
Also, I think that strymon pedals sound really godly with cleans, but with a fuzz they sucks :/ They are to standard!!! too worship rock, I was grown with sonyc youth, smashing pumpkins and noisy music, I totally hate the angelic sounding of strymon pedals, and this pedal company philosofy.
