If you could listen to Black Hole Blanket and let me know what you think, that'd be grand. When I play it, it sounds a lot like Passenger by Iggy Pop.... doesn't bother me but just want to see if I'm gonna get any "he's ripping him off."

Thanks,
Admiral

nah. i wouldn't have even thought of the comparison if you hadn't mentioned it.

the only thing i didn't like was the HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. you should consider getting a proper audio interface and recording bits for your computer to make these a bit cleaner. they're worth hearing.

The hiss is semi on purpose. I could get rid of it, but I like the "this is not a professional recording" vibe. It's probably from all the tracks having reverb on them.

I had a similar complaint about "Stand Inside Your Love" there's this whir in the background that bugs me. It's too bad because its a great song. It's just one of those things.

when I play live with a drummer, there will be fuzz. The concept is soft/acoustic/ambient/lush recordings, and a raw/stripped down/fuzz filled live show.

Why? :idk:

Because I love it when artists have heavy songs and turn them into acoustic songs live or vice versa.... so why not make that the concept of a band?

Although, I haven't ruled out using synths or synthy guitars in the recordings.
