Mine's ss/bs mini > ep booster. Somehow the ep rounded up and fattening the mini so it's more punchy and full. I've never cared much for a booster until now.

ILF put me on this. Delay>tremolo. I expected to hate it and just feel disoriented but its great! I still have to have reverb after trem though. I have a Copilot Polypus.

And reverb into an overdriven amp is good as well! I do that so I can get the reverb>dirt sound but still keep the reverb after tremolo and delay.

I've been really fucking with parallel loopers, lately. All bass players should.

But running a crushing fuzz like a TAFM or Heavy Machine in one loop and something gritty but defined like Myco Three OD in the other. Or get a really synthy sound going in one loop from a fuzz and EHX BMS in one loop and a more distorted OD like the B3K in the other......it's like two distinct layers at the same time. So good.

My current fave is crimson king+futureman

Octave Multiplexer->Distortion+ for cruel Jack Casady sounds.
RV-3->Randy's Revenge w/expression pedal to mangle the repeats.
Great Wall->Mad Doctor stutter.
and my old standby, Distortion+->TC Electronic SCF chorus/flanger.

I have been all about fix'd fuzz as a dirty boost into blunderbuss with pre gain and sustain turned all the way down into DS-1. Gritty MEAN sounding bass.
