depends on what you want. i use mine to generate faux bass lines, and it's the only really useable pedal for that i have found despite the sometimes iffy tracking. i haven't really used it in its more conventional apps.

If you want a quick jack white sound its pretty neat... It does its job. I had a big box one and it was fun for awhile, nothing too exciting though. But I lack the mind to use octave pedals like that in an innovative way.

I've only played one in-store, and I found it very similar to a Boss OC-2, maybe a tad cleaner and less synthy. It's a pretty standard analog octave-down, with all the warbly tracking and cool dirty sound that entails.

chea, i have one. it's great, really glitchy when you drive it with fuzz. really cool with an old transistor organ. philly dudes & gals are invited to come drink beer and test drive.

This. I definitely use it for the warbly and warped dirt when I'm going into noiseland on my bass. It also works rather well on simple synths like the Sleepdrones for dropping shit down lower and thickening out their sound.
