Mini pedals can bite my ass

Seriously. Musikmesse 2013 has been pwned by mini pedals. Everything is by some anonymous company cramming what is likely even less original than normal circuits into boxes that are as ugly and impractical as they are small. I'm over it. And I don't care that those new fancy looking square Mooers look kinda cool and defeat my argument. Because they suck as well.

As a negative European I must agree.
Seriously though, there doesn't seem to have been any interesting new effects pedal on Messe 2013.

Tomorrow I can pick up my new Mooers from the postoffice but after that I'm probably also done with the whole mini pedal craze, I mostly just got them to stack them into the effects loop of my Superego (phaser + chorus + tremolo).

I kinda like tiny pedals. Like the mini Malekkos. I've never really tried any others but most of the Malekkos I've played are pretty glorious.

I'm not a negative European, but I wanna be.
Does being of European descent count?
Can I play a negative European on TV?

Maybe a negative European is to a regular one as Bizarro is to Superman.

not a fan of the minis. some of 'em sound nice (malekkos) but yeah, my foot is bigger than a postage stamp.

let's be honest - by your logic, vast majority of americans can be like us

size is not really a factor for me... sure, i want to have everything on one board and sure, I despise huge boxes with almost nothing inside, but i'm not like "hmm, i like it, but it's too big" (TWSS) when i'm looking for a pedal
those little pedals are sometimes tough to hit... but they have their place... i for one wouldn't probably care for a simple booster in a big box

And Achtane, don't even get me started on boutique pedals. Have solder, can buy a bunch of boards from General Guitar Gadgets = will start making 250 dollar overdrives. WOHOO!
The only thing better than new Mooer minis is a new boutiquer selling TS9s without input or output buffers. In a 1590A.
GRIZZLE!
GRUMP!
But seriously. I like the direction this thread has taken. Chanks, assuming you are Rick Moranis you are welcome to play all future representations of all Europeans in all films. But especially me. On film. I don't have glasses, but they're kinda integral to your goofy schtick, so you're welcome to keep them.

And DarkAxel, just you wait until I start the "Oversized enclosures can bite my ass" thread. But two bite my ass threads in one day is just too much rage. Maybe if I had a jeep.

I don't want to put down mini peals... beause I totally understand their purpose. But I could care less how small my pedals are. Make them as big as you want. Then again I am more cncerned with the aesthetics of my pedals than most.

the thing about mini pedals are that they DO have to sacrifice functionality, but... its a matter of sacrificing the functionality no one uses, so i guess that makes sense. i mean arguably, why can't we have smaller knobs to accomodate miniature pedals?

My problem with those crazy small nano pedals, like the malekkos and mooers, is that I really do feel that they sacrifice TOO much functionality. Especially with modulation, 1 knob is NOT going to do it, and 2 probably won't either (who am I kidding, even with a fuzz, two knobs is rarely enough for me).
