If I dig 11s on a 25.5" guitar would I want 12s on a 24.75"?

pretty much this, usually 12s. I've found 11s but I preferred the 12s

I used to switch between 10-50 on 25.5" scales and 11-50 on 24.75" but one day I said fuck it and switched to 11-50's on everything. No complaints, just adjust my setups accordingly.

for me, going to 11s to solve the string-tension difference is too far in the other direction. but then, i don't really think 25.5 vs. 24.75 as a problem so much as just a difference, and with heavy picks 10s are boingy on anything.

I have like .56-.12 on my electric, not sure what's on my bass.
I played a set of .8s or .9s once and thought I was playing a toy. I don't get thin strings at all.
But I also have a really heavy hand, so you know...

I just took the 9s off of my new guitar. Switched to 10s, cause I just randomly picked some up. I'll eventually move up to 11s, I think.
