Who are some folks from your hometown/home base that you love playing with and going to see? I'm fortunate to be friends with a lot of badass musicians in my city, and all from such wildly different backgrounds.
I'll post a few:
A friend of mine drums and sings/screams in this band called Dasher. They're beyond amazing...fuzzy scuzzy post punk with a dreamy edge to it. Very ILF suited, me thinks.
Another buddy/coworker of mine is in this synths dance rock outfit called TV Dinner. Everybody dances their asses off at the shows. Very fun, bouncy and catchy, but with a twisted sense of humor too. The synth player is also quite an accomplished pianist.

Those dudes are actually from my town, which sucks for everything outside of the indie scene. If you reckon with Stockholm ... yeah. Every second metal band in the world haha. My brush with fame was recording with Martin Mendez from Opeth. Otherwise I operate outside of famous circles. The drummer in Digression (one of my bands) knows everyone though.
