LOVE IT

seems like something Nick Cave would participate on if he hadn't revoked guitars as much as he have

also love me some Theodore on drums :)

Sounds good but I won't really know if I like it until it's on the album and properly produced, QOTSA is just one of those bands for me. Also, was Troy playing a Burns London double six? If so that's pretty dang cool.

Sounds pretty sick, I too am interested in hearing a studio version. Theodore on drums is sweeet, they have a great band setup right now.

QOSTA always seems like I'm listening to Keanu Reeves' or Ryan Gosling's or Jered Leto's band... Homme just seems like a guy playin a rocker...

Looks like the studio version is out on YooToobs as a teaser...

... definitely feels like it's as related to Them Crooked Vultures as it does QOTSA...

Anyone else notice that JON THEODORE is their new live drummer?!?! I hadn't heard that but FUCK YES!!!

I'm not a huge Mars Volta fan after Deloused but Jon Theodore instantly became one of my absolute favorite drummers upon listening to that album the first few times. Dude is simply incredible!

I had the pleasure of seeing TMV when he was still their drummer. Dude's a beast.

Song's ok. Reminds me the most of some of the later Desert Sessions stuff. Doesn't hold a candle to anything from the first three records, though.

Same here. Saw 'em play a tiny club in St. Louis years ago touring behind Deloused. I pretty much looked right past the Cedric and Omar dance-off on stage and just watched JT crush the kit with intricate beats. Impressive is a total understatement, a true MONSTER on the drums!

He performed on the SFTD recording, not sure he toured with 'em tho, don't think so. I saw the SFTD tour in ST.L and Joey Castillo (former Danzig drummer) was already in the band. It was only announced recently that Joey had "quit", not sure what really happened there. Can't imagine he willingly walked away, who knows....

Also, do yourself a favor and check out the last couple records. There's some amazing stuff on both Lullabies and Era Vulgaris regardless what you hear others say. :thumb:
