do you feel ways about the Dunlop Octavio

Either the cheese wedge or this new 70th anniversary thing, they're apparently both the same circuit according to Dunlop. I've been interested in it for a while but wanted to hear from people who have actually used them.

The cheese wedge looks awesome, but only runs on batteries and has no power plug, which is a dealbreaker for me. I like the Jimi graphic on the anniversary line too, but if I was going to get another octave fuzz it would probably be a Shiva or a Helium.

I have that cheese wedge dunlop thing. It is a super built quality. But i have hard times using it right. It can be very cool aggressive on the lower strings for some riffs but it is always a bit of untight to me. It has a tendency to wash so i probably should try it with reverb - perhaps it is the shit for shoegazer.
That octave up setting/sound above the 12th fret has always that Hendrix solo stink* to me. No idea how i should work with that.
So it is in my experience a very special fuzz to come along with - probably i will sell it, not sure yet. Didn't find any spot in my playing neither i draw some ideas with it yet...

*I like Hendrix for his groovy rhythm stuff and the short, catchy melodies - i hate his solo noodling.

Thanks for the comments. I don't mind the lack of power plug on the white one, since I'd probably use it mostly for recording. Plus it looks cool as hell. I like untight fuzz so maybe it's for me.

Check this pedal out. This pedal sounds really great for octave-up stuff (especially the Hendrix thing which I think the Dunlop Octavio is trying to nail) and it stacks really well with other fuzzes and ODs.

I'm using a Take Flight Pedals Goose for octave stuff, which is really cool... But it's definitely not for every purpose.
