this is an ibanez pt-1000
it has a treadle which controls the speed of the phaser.
it also has a toggle on the side between fast and slow.

i would like to have a similar pedal, but a flanger
with a treadle that controls DEPTH of the flange, rather than speed
and a knob on the side to control speed of the flange.

essentially what i want is a flanger with a treadle that will allow you to manually imitate studio tape flanging.

this seems like it might be really difficult to build, and/or expensive, but im putting it out there for anyone who might want to take this on.

im thinking an ada flange type sound.
i think this could be really awesome..if it is possible.

that makes way, way too much sense.

i forgot the ada has an expression in, i havent had one in years, the one i had i could never get the expression pedal to do anything cool at all.

on second thought, i think the sweep would be *the* parameter to control for this desired effect, no?

flange experts needed please.

That should be pretty do-able. Flanger kit + wah housing. Might have to source a specific pot, but no huge deal there.

You can do this with the new Source Audio Orbital Modulator and their expression pedal. I may be a total whore for their stuff, but I really think the Modulator may be the best thing they've done so far.

M9 or Modfactor. Control whichever parameters you want. Also the new Soundblox 2 Orbital modulator, though you need the Source Audio expression pedal with that one.

i think Source stuff usually has their micro input and a regular 1/4 input for Teh Expressions.

my BEF Pro does at least.

Soundblox 2 pedals only have the micro input. Makes it so you have to buy their expression pedal, or a hothand. Evil/genius...

AH. gotcha. i use a HH3 with my Pro (realllllly want the 2. i only use it for one thing and i want the smaller footprint wayyyyyy more than the extra options) so that wouldna bother me, but that would suck if you were not aware of it.

Strymon orbit (or mobius)...you can control any parameter via expression pedals
