Peace, Lurv, and Soul? ON ILF??!!

Some members who know me well know that I harbor a deep admiration of all things soulful. My more recent FB shares have been myriad Youtube vids by the Delfonics, Isley Brothers, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, and so on. I know I'm not the only one, as I've seen some sporadic posts/linkage re: sweet soul music. But it's remained a mystery to me why there hasn't been a dedicated thread with such discussions and linkage-until now. So, post links of your favorite loverman jams and engage in some discussion as to what gets ya grrl/guy/bovine love slave in the mood. I will play Don Cornelius to this thread's Soul Train-osity. Clearly I don't get laid enough to listen to a lot of soul music.
Whether that's the chicken or the egg is up for debate.

i have literally thousands of soul records from the 60s,70s and 80s.
i think the real gems are the artists that nobody remembers.
