Heres some stuff from 2-3 years ago, mostly academic stuff

I wish my photobucket account was still working, and I'd post the photorealistic shit I was turning out junior year of highschool
I got as technically proficient as I could before I allowed myself to develop style, spent hours on just a square inch of paper making sure the shading was flawless from every distance (via the shortest, most delicate crosshatching)
God those days sucked

Photography and some sketches soon to come

I know what you mean. I have such a love for visual media, but I have very little actual talent. (actually I have the same problem with music)

My art's all over the place, organizationally speaking. I used to think of myself as a drawing / ink guy, but ever since first encountering photoshop, I've gotten much more into weird photo stuff. So here's a smattering of what I've got on the hard drive at the moment...

EDIT: Thanks for upping the attachments allowable, Devi! Hopefully this doesn't make my post too ridiculously huge. This has actually been great for me, getting me to go back and look through my stuff again. I need to get my portfolio site together, just so this has a place to live online...

By the way, the collage of the surreal landscape with the text in the background was a last-minute design for a friend's band CD cover, but the artist they had originally contacted came through at the last moment. If anyone on the forum is looking for cover art and happens to like this, it's available! (apologies for the self-pimpin')

Cool stuff jrmy, i love taking a normal bland photo and making it super abstract and or cool.

ooooooooo, neato.

I put two things on my deviantart page, I have this 3D poetry/art book but I don't know how to present it via picture.

Anywho I'm really proud of The Crying Tree, I wanted to do another wet on wet watercolor thing, put at the time my art class was using these carving tools.... so I just scratched away at the paint and drew stuff that way. I never really saw it done before so...... hopefully its original.... cause I want to do a whole set someday.

I like The Crying Tree a lot, PP. I wouldn't worry about whether the technique is original or not, because the results speak for themselves! I'd definitely like to see more in that vein.
