So Im getting to the point in guitar where I can actually comprehend notes, structure, etc. and I must say hearing/seeing Prince play is something else. I had never really thought about his guitar playing skills until lately and he is my new hero. Dude is a madman.
That is all.

Tickets for his Seattle shows went on sale a couple hours ago. At $250 each I'm gonna have to say no thanks.

Sigh. I guess I'll add him to the list of artists I'll never see live. Le sigh.

Last time here he was in the Key or T Dome or something like that and cheap-ish tickets were available. The Showbox
SoDo at the market is way more intimate (~1000 capacity) so I kind of get it. But fuck $250 that's enough money for like 40 of the shows I go to.

I don't even LIKE Showbox SoDo; it's too big of a venue for me, honestly (I prefer something around the size of Neumo's, tops, generally I prefer places even smaller than that), but if tickets were reasonable I'd go. But 250$? I spent 75 for FOUR tickets to see Boris two nights in a row. I mean, c'mon.

Oh fuck my bad. It's downtown not at the Sodo. Sodo is the worst venue in the city that's not Studio 7.

I've never even been to Studio 7, but some of my 'friends' (god I use that term loosely) bands have played there and that alone makes me not want to go.
