Fender Prices Going Up

So whats with the huge Fender price increase begining Febuary 1st? It's pretty sad. I want a mustang or a music master soo badly but all i have to spend is the worth of an 80s 130 watt Fender Power Chorus amp. Anyone have sugestions?

Some of the prices are already going up...few models going for $50 more which isn't too bad. Seems like a scare tactic to push guitars after a week christmas season. I don't think they can get away with doing a full 25% increase like some are suggesting.
If they do, my next guitar WON'T be a fender.

It does seem like they are taking advantage of their customers which is really shitty as I have always been a proud consumer and user of Fender guitars and amps.

New Jaguars and Jazzmaster cost $50 more if you wnat them in sunburst.
Fender doesn't make Musicmasters any more so the price jump won't affect them at all.

i can't remember the last time i wanted a new fender guitar anyway, so this means very little to me.

Well it's not just the guitars, it's all things Fender. Hmm I'm not sure about Fender owned companies like Gretsch though.

i can't remember the last time i wanted a new fender amp either. i would think they'll increase the gretsch line too, which are already too expensive anyway, IMO.
still ...thankfully....it doesn't effect me except maybe makes my (and your) fenders worth more in the long run. 25% seems pretty fukking steep though.

I know!!!And Mustangs (which you can usualy pick up for around $700) are now $1,200!! damn you Fender!!

well apparently you can't pay that much for even a Mexican Fender which are now extinct apparently, so if you want a fender but can't pay more than $1000 you have to go Squier
