if anyone is interested please post in here so I know how many boards to order and how much you think it is worth. I have real texas instruments UA741CP in limited quantity so I might be able to sell those with the boards if you need it. I really have no idea what to charge for PCB's + shipping. I can get yellow PCB's so it matches the yellow box lol.

the circuit is the original MXR script logo distortion plus with dip switches 1 to 6 ON (7, 8 OFF). it is so correct that I intend to use 1N270 diodes, tantalum 1uf and ceramic 10n + 1n caps. with dip switch 1, 2 OFF and 7, 8 ON you have some minor filtering with poly film box caps and an added resistor. dip switch 3, 4, 5, 6 are your options for more headroom before clipping, asymmetrical clipping, or no diode clipping. you get all the noise of the original MXR unit but thankfully you can switch some of it off if you don't care about being %100 true to the original.

I made the board bigger so I could lay the diodes down flat. board dimensions are 1.96inches by 1.05inches. spacing between pot shafts on center is 1.18inches. this is designed to drop right in to a 1590B box. I can provide drill templates by PDF to align the pots and LED. you can put the LED off board if you want to but at least the LED resistor is on the board to make it easy. I much prefer to use the pots to mount the PCB over any other mounting method. board mounted pots also saves time and looks cleaner.

these are the pots that fit

I think small bear also has them but I have only tested the mammoth ones on my PCB's. this is what it looks like for another PCB I did. I use double sided foam tape to keep it from shorting on the back of the pots.

if you are interested post how many you want so I can add that up tomorrow. you do not have to pre-pay. these will be ready in exactly 3 weeks if I order tomorrow.

I tested out the finished pedal yesterday. everything works as it should. in vintage mode with the noise filters on, it stays true to the vintage sound you can get with the noise filters off. there are no negative side affects to low noise vintage mode. messing with the diode clipping options makes it sound like a another distortion pedal entirely. if you were waiting for me to confirm this PCB is working, you can go ahead and order it now.

Hey, just a question about eagle cad really, I've only used it a little bit. I've only used it for simple circuits.

How do you get those tags on the nets <n$2/ those things. I've never used a DIP switch and I felt like it's about time!

Also I get my pcb's printed at OSH Park. I remember in another thread mentioning that you have been using a place in china with good results. Do you mind giving me the name? You can PM if you don't want the world to know. I could probably google for a place but I'd rather use a place that's been recommend.

Use the label button it's symbol has an abc on it. Then use the name function to give it a useful name, you can then rename other nets with the same name to connect them together.

bump these are for sale again. there is a correction to the schematic, R2 should be 1K. I do combined shipping if you also want a standard fuzz pcb.

this is a modified version I built for a customer with to fix a problem of his guitar sounding too bright and not enough bass with the distortion. I like it a lot however the lower distortion settings are better served with the 22n cap switched off. the output cap is more useful when you have everything turned up to eleven.
