So maybe I should first figure out what I need an OD or preamp for before I go out spending cash I don't have and to those who agree kindly go fuck yourself and then come back and tell me why I might want an OD or preamp. I'm a simple man, I can easily remain content with what I already but you got to make mistakes to learn where you need improvement.

I really enjoyed HoF/Sleep so I'm preparing to join a Stoner/Doom or Stoner Rock band. My gear is in my signature, in addition to what I have there I plan on getting a Bluebeard so I don't have to turn fuzz off to play chords. For some reason I feel like I can't be complete with out an overdrive, maybe I want to hear what my amps tubes sound like when pushed, maybe I'll be even more satisfied with the sound of my fuzz before or after an OD.

I've narrowed down the possible ODs to B3k possibly to texture the sound/push tubes and Fuck OD for you tell me, aside from it having some very pleasing fuzz I'm not sure why this should be my OD... everyone here loves it but I have yet to hear your reasons why.

The other option is grabbing the B7K (and possibly a Fuck?) I could easily see using all of the extra options at some point. But if I'm going all the way into preamp territory the Rusty Box, MI Megalith Delta and Shadowsky DI all start looking mighty temping but the thought of having 2 pedals named Megalith in my chain feels awkward and I don't know what a DI is...

So I've decided the Fuck isn't for me at least until I have a chance to play with it (Ladies )
I'm still very interested in the B3K/B7K and I'm concidering behemoth but if I don't need the Fucks fuzz then why should I want the behemoths?
The B7K seems like a great option since it can double as a preamp but I would still love to hear other options for a preamp.

Feel free to tell me about/suggest other pedals even effects I'm always open to new ideas/concepts/change.

i'm obviously biased but i'd go for a mini over a fuck for bass.
why? it's simple, has a wide range of toanz and sounds good.

I knew I was going to see some bias towards the Fuck here, but I would appreciate a little more from it's creator, seeing as you have probably worked with it and the people who work with it more than anyone! Both the Fuck and the Mini sound great (and similar to an extent) and I would argue the fuck has even more tonal range than the mini... So if price/footprint aren't a deal maker/breakers for me (and they're not) then why a mini over fuck on bass?

Bonus points if you add why it's better than using a B3K to shape fuzz while pushing tubes or how it would compliment a B7K or another preamp

It's got a 2 band EQ on the Mini, which can let you get more tone shaping done rather than the single tone control on the regular Fuuu. You can block highs and boost bass, or visa versa with a 2 band EQ unlike a single knob.

yup - the mini has a bit more bass in general and has more tone shaping like skull said. that being said, the fuck might work really well in your setup (and i can always mod it for more bass anyways...). if price/footprint aren't an issue, then by all means go for the fuck - you'll get another dimension of gnar that isn't exactly there with the mini. they have different tonal ranges... i don't think one has more than the other really.

i wish i could comment further on the B3K/B7K stuff but i only messed around with a B3K once a long time ago and wasn't exactly floored by it - i was using it on guitar through a fender twin though so i'm sure i was missing the whole point of it. i'm sure there are other folks on here who can comment further or give options in another direction.

Wish I could comment on the other pedals, but the Mini is GREAT on bass. The EQ is really useful and it goes from clean boost - fuzz and it all sounds good. That said, I have heard great things about the B3K/B7K and Rusty Box from other people, I'd love to try them out myself.

Oh yeah, I guess I did have a Rusty Box for a few months. I dug the Rusty. It was awesome. But I did notice on certain settings it cut some low end. It TOTALLY had the Traynor fuzzy sound going on which I love

Man I've been listening to Fuck and mini vids and I really dig the fuzz coming from a cranked fuck. I would still like to hear some peoples thoughts on the B3K or other overdrives you have used in combination with your favorite fuzzes, especially if that is a Bluebeard or mountainking

I ALWAYS stacked my Sovtek Tall Font into the Rusty Box. There was some coloration in the tone though.

Thought about getting a tall font but decided to put my money towards a Siamese Bluebeard instead. I've been wanting to try a Sovtek Small Stone but modulation will have to wait a while since I be puttin' all my cash towards dirt... pretty soon my pedal board will cost more than my amp and by pedal board I mean 2 pedals

I had a B3K a couple of times. I really dig it. By itself and playing by yourself it seems like it loses low end but that isn't true, it is voiced to bring out the upper mids. It seemd a bit clangy. In a band mix, it is fucking amazing, that clang sounds great in the mix.
With fuzz running through it sounds really good. Kind of hard to describe. I have ran a Megalith into it and enjoyed it a bunch.

I have a B7K and for bass, it stomps the dick out of any OD I've tried. So much versatility. The second best would be the Okko Basstard. I had a Fuck, and it wasn't my thing for bass. Maybe if I played guitar. I dunno. Different strokes.
