Hiya. I made a video earlier this week of a prototype I've been working on in my spare time.. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature=plcp&v=1VNPO6xO55E
It's not quite there.. But almost, maybe. Would be keen to hear what you think. Can also post better audio or vid clips if anyone would like to hear it with bass. I also have an ms10 that might sound kinda cool..

Sounds wicked.

envelope follower modulating LFO speed? LFO modulating carrier signal? and carrier + modulator ringmod? thats 3 times the modulation batman! this would sound great with a tampura drone box running through it.

Cheers for checking it out :)

A fairly close guess!

The envelope maxes out the depth of the selected parameter, then when the signal transient pulls the depth back down the trough of the LFO becomes a bit more noticeable. A switchable feature though.

I might be able to make a simulation tampura drone with my EHX Freeze and a bunch of stings in unison.

Have you yet determined how much you'll be selling these for?

Hey dude! This place is cool. I spent 2 hours reading last night and watching youtube demos till the point where my last reply got deleted when the battery went dead..

I'm not too sure at this stage as I was going to work out the overall cost of parts first and haven't found out what a final cost will be for the pcb's. It's most of the internal area of a 1590bb too :erm: ..They're looking to be quite a mission time-wise (for me at least) so, at a guess $280usd?
The final one should look quite spiffy, with the same design as the Proton Beast (band) ep and dual colour LEDs in the eyes. I've made it so the bypass is independent of the lfo (so the lfo stays displayed in bypass) despite each colour sharing a common ground. Luckily I was already using a relay that could switch the positive on/off. There's probably a way to do it that is way more obvious :idk:

Well, from that demo, it certainly sounds fantastic, but the real question is: does that $280 USD include shipping to the US?

That may be a deciding factor for me. Interested in what you determine the final price to be.

Glad you like it here, btw.

Here's the final prototype ..Image
Worked out most of the bugs. The remaining one is some clock noise in the clean side of the blend. I'm making up a tidier pcb so will get to the bottom of it. This one is a mess
