Just wondering about your previous experience dealing with those guys.. Been almost a month and a half waiting for my order to be done, tried NUMEROUS times contacting them just to hear how everything goes, nothing.. no respond on both emails & phone. I'm not rushing them up nor being anxious, but the courtesy updates with a little communication skills would be great. Just one of those company, eh?

Yeah, they're not the best at communication. I've dealt with them several times but the outcome is always good in the end. Last cab they sent me was the best of the seven we've gotten from them. You'll dig it, just don't expect top notch customer service. Going by what they quoted you on turnaround, I'd say best thing to do is to call them a week or two after that time quote. Remember, tax return season is usually the most busy a company like them will get.

I've bought numerous cabs from them, and yes their communication / customr service can definitely be lacking (completely depending on who is on email duty that day) but they've never fell through with an order. Best thing I've found is if you have gmail is to put them in your chat list so that you can tell when they are online and email them then as they get flooded with so many emails on a daily basis that your email can get lost and looked over quickly. I've also found that emailing them around 1pm EST usually yields a quick response. Oh and take what ever time frame they quoted you and add atleast 3 weeks onto that. Your cab maybe ready in the timeline they provided but they only ship a couple times a month as they use a private carrier, so it will sit there until the next batch goes out and then your most likely looking about a week transit time. Don't fret its definitely worth it. :thumb:

I wanna price range their stuff...I feel like it's not there because it's too much for me. If you don't mind, how much did you pay and what'd you get?

I want to get a custom case from the but I never get a single message back from them. I am also in Chicago so honestly it puts me off a bit. Craftmanship is nice but sometimes it's really annoying.

Yeah, it's really annoying.. especially when shelling out that much of money & getting a shitty communication. Thanks for the enlightenment duders, I guess I'll wait for a little more.

I'm getting an empty oversized 2x12, that way I get the speakers that I want elsewhere with free shipping (since I don't like their selections anyway and I heard that they tend to put whatever their asses like to put so you might got a random ass speakers despite the orders) and cut a little bit of weight and shipping cost.

Also about pricing, is it non-ethical to blow it out here? well since they never answer to any potential buyers anyways, I'm willing to copy/paste the email I got from them about it..

When I emailed them about getting a quote, I had a response pretty quickly.
The price was not bad for what I wanted, but the shipping would kill me. After border fees and stuff, I might as well stay local.
I'm sure I'll end up in Chicago at some point in my life. I'll just get one then.

Border fees, where are you? Yeah, they quoted around $75-$100 just for the freaking shipping alone to Cali.. but that's just something that I'll have to swallow.

Just to throw in some other option if you like tolex-less cabs, our fellow fuzzer sounded really happy with his on some thread somewhere. Check it, looks like legit and high in quality

Price quote is a price quote, IMO.

Publish it if you want, just as long as people grasp that prices change especially among smaller builders/businesses regularly.

I've gotten a few quotes from Emperor before. They were cheaper than Verellen but I went with Verellen because of his customer service. Emperor was actually $200 cheaper for the 1x12 when I got the quote, which was $450 for an oversized 1x12! That was about 6 months ago.

And yeah, I just got my bass cab from bcustomcabs. Dude is rad. Only been making cabs for about a year but quality is as good as my Verellen.
