Amp question

So I have this practice amp (peavey TKO 65) and I love it.
Could I get a splitter and go out of the effects send, back into the return, and send the other side of the splitter to a power amp and cabs? Just wondering if this would grossly under power a power amp or anything.

Itshould be fine. You may want a buffered splitter. You may also experience ground loop issues but I don't think you will hurt anything giving it a go.

The effects loop should be at line level, which is exactly the signal level that a power amp will be expecting, so you should be fine. I've actually used a Boss LS-2 with line-level signals before and it takes it just fine without distorting.

Yeah I know it wouldn't hurt just wondering if its worth buying the power amp and cab. I kind of would like to use this as my main amp.

It would be easier if you could test it first but sometimes that isn't possible
I have done something similar from the effects loop out on a few amps and it works very well
ran my fender princeton into a Kustom PA head and a 2x12 for a while and it worked great
If you are going to do something like this a crate power block is a great option to use both as the power amp and as a head if you are so inclined
wicked light and works well in this application
