iPad for Production

I might be in a situation to need to produce on the road. I'm not made of gold, so instead of getting a macbook (yeah I'm mac all the way, whatevs) and Logic, I'm considering doing an iPad thing, being that there is quite a few neato-fuckin'-apps for eyepaddszz.
I just started my research but I thought I'd ask YOU!!!
I see a few videos of people twisting knobs on analog synths and shit but I need to make a song. From start to finish, I need to layout a song and be able to export that bitch.
Pour your wisdom into my face!!!

Garageband projects on the iPad can be opened on your computer in Logic afterwards.
Another iPad DAW that I haven't tried keeps getting some great reviews, it's called Auria IIRC.

I just received my iPad 3 this past Friday and I am already having tons of fun making music. I wanted a highly portable and compact set up to record and create music with and the iPad seems absolutely perfect. (keep in my mind I'm still in the early stages of falling in love with this thing so I can't really see its flaws yet) This is the first recording I made with Meteor and Audiobus using the Fingerlabs DM-1 and SAMPLR. Unbelievably fun programs. If you search the gear forum for ipad, a thread should come up of peeps discussing their favorite music apps.

Cool track PumpkinPieces! To the OP, here's that other thread:
viewtopic.php?f=149&t=27691&start=120&hilit=ipad+apps. For my 2cents the iPad is fast becoming a capable machine to produce whole tracks on. With the fairly recent addition of the Audiobus app (been out about 6-7 months) that has really blown the doors off what's capable and makes music production so much easier. Take the plunge!

I cannot actually, haha. I was wondering why it didn't show up, I had to open up my laptop to double check. I GUESS THATS ONE FLAW OF THE IPAD. THANKS OBAMA.

To the best of my knowledge the Soundcloud widget/player is made using Flash. Flash is not supported on the iPad, iPhone, basically any iDevice. Really a pain in the ass.

There's also an HTML5 option that does work on iPad but it is not yet supported by ILF.
