You guys are just awesome. You 2 songs you have posted have probably been the 2 best songs I have heard so far this year, as far as new music goes. Consider me a fan. I couldn't help but share it on my FB wall, so I can get ahead of all the cool kids and have an early post date of Nights content  :!!!:

Hey guys thanks. Honest compliments and encouragement are vital in the mean streets of independent music. Gonna make one more video and hopefully when the album is released we will gain some attention or traction from the right people to get us out on the road.

Ohio City is a neighborhood on the Westside of Cleveland. The notable landmarks in the neighborhood, if you are familiar, are the Westside Market and Great Lakes Brewery. We are buds with Adrian of Brujas, so one day we will get down there, but our drummer Chris is heading to San Deigo to dive for Sea World in a few weeks so we are entering a regroup hiatus for a bit and just pushing the album on people!

move to cbus. i play drums too! ;) do you do land of cleve shows often then? i've only played up there once, got to open for tristeza at grog shop v2, but have been to plenty of shows there and beachland. also played lime spider in akron a bunch of times before they quit (boo).

also my friends from cleveland nicknamed it the LOTH, land of the heartless. no offense, just had to share.

cool that you're right by great lakes brewery. commodore is one of my staples.

We play every few months. Cleveland is more like the Land Of The Apathetic. People in the music scene don't actually care about the music unless they are told by pitchfork or blogs. Most of our fans are older (late 20s to late 30s) and the younger kids are wrapped up in the sound of the month bands, mostly slapdash lofi "garage" by the younger college kids from the suburbs. The rest is metal and hardcore. Honestly, the two bands that have broken out (Mr. gnome and Cloud Nothings) had zero following before they got press. They went and toured outside of Cleveland, and when they would play home, they played to no one. Now, a few tours, a pitchfork review here and there, EVERYONE is at their show. So it's very apathetic scene, full of people who care more about being scene than seeing bands. Literally every show we play outside of Cleve is well attended and the audience is so pumped (Boston, Cincy, Chicago, po'dunk towns in mid Ohio). I love playing outside of Cleveland. People buy shirts and stand at the front of the stage. Huge difference from the people who stand 10 feet away from the stage and cross their arms in Cleve.

I was down in CBus is a few weeks ago to see Brujas and Relaxer (Akron, Jamie Stillman's band) and that show was packed. Adrian said most of the people there were new faces. The next day we played Akron with Relaxer and that show was also packed.

yeah, good luck with the musics - its genuinely sweet melodic poppyness with genuinely raw grungey fuzzness :thumb:

dude. you should've told me, i was at rumba for that show too! edit: aaaand incredibly last minute, looks like i'm playing there tomorrow night...

sucks to hear cleveland's all apathetic. i've seen mr. gnome several times too, athens & cbus. might've even done a show w/ them once upon a time, not sure though...
