Anyeone has a circuit of how to make a simple one?

I've found this circuit online, it looks super-simple:

But I guess if I make an oscillator as the carrier that runs on 9v, my signal would get lost or something?

Any other ideas? The only two I saw for sale are the moog and the Catalin Bread ("Ottava Magus").

It's been kept under wraps =) Im handing the first 2 hax to analgue haven tomorrow. Anyway, I didnt see this was DIY :erm:
