Battery Powered Rigs

Say you live somewhere where the majority of guitarists are acoustic players that flood every venue and jam room for miles. They complain about how loud your gear is and praise how they can play their acoustics anywhere.

Say you want to stick to them out of spite and build a crazy loud rig that you can take wherever the fuck you want. Is there a better setup than this:

Sanyo pedal juice and a crate tx50db

But on a serious note, just get a bunch of those Crates

I'd really like to play a set with a bunch of the little battery powered Orange Micro Crushes though. That'd be cool. Like 10-15 of them and have a few stereo delays so it pans all over the place

I have done several solo shows with two micro marshalls.mics + contact mics. Pretty much just upper register though, but I love those amps..

That would be fucking awesome

I actually considered the generator route once, but I'd have to get power conditioners to even out the spikes, and really would I be doing anything more other than proving how nice and portable acoustics are? Goal: not a huge hassle to carry but still slays all acoustic instruments/minds with volume and fuzz.

The only one I might consider over the crate is this pignose:

I have the Crate that's a step down. It's plenty loud to bury acoustic fuckers.

That, a couple battery powered Devi fuzzes, my Ampeg Scrambler clone, and ebow, and fuck the world with fuck.

For lighter, I have a little tweed Lanakai "Ukelele" amp with a 5" speaker that brings the upper-register hurt and runs on a 9v. Suitable for strolling in the park or strapping to the back of your wheelchair and rocking down the streets.

This looks pretty keen. This might become my new amp/home audiostation. It's 35w and can run on ac or 12 D-size batteries, and at $300 it's not terribly pricey either if you think about it as amp as opposed to a boombox.

lol yeaaa better get your thief on. somebody told me that back in the 80s, u could make mad bread stealing D batteries from stores and reselling them on the street.

don't get this one tho. TDK made a newer one that operates off a USB rechargeable battery...muchhhh better!
i have the newer one. its great, the sound quality is tight.
