...and on the subject of building pedalboards, where do i find those screw displacement bracket thingies that canto has on his pedalboard here? screw velcro.

You can use links from broken bike chains, or you can probably ask someone at a hardware store to help you find similar things.
And yeah, hbombgraphics is the man. I'm pretty sure he gave bukowski a van once.

Works amazing. Two different sizes of chain are common so can be a pain to get the right links to fit. Most bike shops will have some old chain in the trash on any given day...as long as you're not afraid of a little degreaser, get a cheap chain pin tool and have at it.
AND HBOMBGRAPHICS is ALL CLASS.

HBOMB is the man. He's my neighbor to the south and helped me develop my soldering and troubleshooting skills as well
He's building my a tb loop, and won't let me pay him... I'll just have to buy him something I guess.

good practice
and hbomb is the schnizzz
that meathead clone is just what i needed

you guys are too nice.......
and I still have tons of silly bands that my kids no longer care about.
To clarify bukowski did me a massive favor on the van: I sold it to a group of kids form Europe for a cross country trip, when they got to NYC they couldn't register it, so I kept it in my name and when the got to Cali he grabbed it from them (went to the airport which was super cool) and was going to try to register it for his band. Unfortunately cali rules on cars are different so he had to unload it. He did me and a bunch of cool kids from all over europe a huge solid.
the rest of you dudes are awesome as well, fluffytuna helped me build my dining room table and listened to me complain for hours, really dug me out of a dark time last year
I really like it here and I hope I have treated everyone well, it's a bit humbling to see a thread like this and I don't know if I should comment or not (hope this is appropriate)
glad you got the soldering iron, mammoth has the jacks but I am not sure if they ship to canada Amazon also carries them at a good price
http://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=gno_cartagain, not super sure how to respond,

You ARE the best, hbomb!
The van deal was one of several very happy deals I've enjoyed with hbomb. He actually has the first pedal that I built, which shockingly still works apparently :P
Really though, you've been inspiring to me and have helped me out a lot. I really appreciate all you've done for me

Okay. With HBomb's soldering iron, I'm ready to start making pedal connectors! Tell me which kind of cable I want:
http://www.mammothelectronics.com/category-s/148.htmAlso: can I use the same type of cable that I would use for connecting one pedal to another as I would when making stereo expressionator cables like behndy has here:

I'm a rookie here, guys!

I think the cheaper cables work just fine for me when making my own
as long as they are flexible and easy to strip
also: I think you are asking if a stereo cable will work and I don't think it will

so this one will be fine then?

Sort of. So long as the plugs I am soldering are stereo plugs, can I use the same cable material that I'll use for my regular pedal to pedal mono patches?

no you need stereo cable for stereo plugs I think
