More articulate fuzz?

I love my harmonic transformer and Hyperion(the only two fuzzes I own at the moment) but neither seem to catch all my notes truly. Like, when chording I tend to move my pinkie and ring fingers to other notes. While I can hear the notes, it doesn't seem to come through enough regardless of my eq-ing. While the harmonic tranny does it better than the Devi, I'm wondering if there's an equally fuzzy but more articulate fuzz along the lines of DE or DBA wildness.

Fuzzes I've owned before that didn't make the cut- DE Rocket, 90, houndstooth, US. DBA soundwave breakdown, fuzz war. Lovepedal Karl fuzz(did an okay job but didn't like how it sounded), EHX Muff pi, behringer super fuzz, and a few other less memorable fuzziez.

Plz halp.

Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom, my friend. It's surprising how clear it stays, even at high gain settings. Depends on your pickups too though.

Definitely another rec for the Algal Bloom, that thing is crazy articulate even when it's super fuzzy.

No, but, seriously, folks.

The BAT Black Forest and Harmonic Percolator clones are pretty articulate. Maybe not fuzzy enough though?

Algal Bloom for sure. The more articulate devis would be the Aenima (super high gain tho), Torn's Peaker, [Truly] Beautiful Disaster has the clean blend as well. I also feel the Eau Claire Thunder could do a decent job as well. Maybe look into some of the fuzzes J Mascis uses, he seems to add all sorts of extra 2nd, 4th, 7th notes in his rhythm playing.

Heavy Electronics Grind Fuzz is cool in this regard.

If you want something heavier than the Algal Bloom, the Fuzzhugger Huger is fantastic as well. I love mine and use it all the time...

I've never tried an algal bloom. Personally I've always felt it's too velcro-y and tight but I think it deff worth a try. I see them in BST often. The Black Forest is deff not my style but I love love love the graphic on it with the black sparkle, stars between the trees.

Ill check out the suggestions. Much appreciated!

The Algal Bloom is not velcro-y. It's a good mix of:

RAT: Thick and loud chords where all six strings can be heard

BIG MUFF: Fat ass bottom end

FUZZ FACE: buzzy power chords and thick solos

I've had like 4 different Algal Blooms... they're not velcro-y. There is no gate or anything either. It's just an all around great pedal that can get you a ton of sounds while still sounding UNIQUE.

Maybe I'm mixed up in terms. Maybe buzzy was what I ment. I thought Velcro was a good word for it. Like ripping Velcro apart quickly? Meh I dunno. Nonetheless it's worth a shot. Though through the many demos on YouTube, I'm not sure it's what I want. Never know til I try, right?

I've had good luck with my Holowon Furr, it get's kinda muff-ish, but you can, like, hear what you're playing.
