Harmonic Percolator....for bass?

So, I know that the clones that are out there generally come close to the original.
And, I've read that the standard Percolator does not sound so hot on bass.
Is there something similar out there that does?
I've been running a Skreddy Supa Tone on my bass, and it's great. But I want another
drive as well, something for more oomph but not fuzz.....
I used to have a Monarch but traded that away (oops)
But, the Percolator has that sound.......

I did find this however.....but honestly, the audio sample doesn't really thrill me or convince me....

I haven't tried it on bass, but I'd bet someone around here can build you one that's optimized fo' bass.

I got one from Skullservant that that he built that has a shocking amount of low end and punch. I have to record a proper demo of it, but I was pretty stoked. He also added a 3-way switch, so you can choose how many diodes are engaged.

Or a Rusty Box?
It seem to emphasize the even harmonics in a way similar to the OG Percolator....
Just saw that there is a 5 year old thread about that bad boy to boot.

Rusty Box on bass is great, I enjoyed it a lot. I would really honestly recommend any sort of preamp bass pedal, because it's got the same clipping style that harmonic percolators have. Natural and organic sounding

Got a Montgomery Appliances Harmonic Dominator on the way. We shall see....
I'm actually really interest to see how it interacts with keyboards and drum machines too.
