lemme know if this is in the right section here guys.

another project from me for a local guy.
a wooden necked Wandrè Powertone shaped guitar with an equally italian ripped headstock shape.
got the pickups today - there'll be three ( P90 P90 MiniHum ) with a blend switch or pot to control the middle pup.

and the wooden bits so far :

we've decided on a bigbsy B5 and the three pickups all on the same angle ( to match the fretboard end )
i'm working on control layout and waiting on some hardware.
should be fun, thanks for looking ILFers.

Yeah, I think this's as good a place to post this as any.

Your pickup covers are always outstanding. This one looks like it'll be a good one. Can't wait to see it finished.

well, i'm afraid if i talk about it too much i'm gonna have to move to Australia to save shipping charges. seriously, if i had money to spend i would totally be e-mailing back and forth.

thanks again guys ...

i forgot to say those pickup covers are a random selection from my reject box. i'll be doing a new batch for a few guitars soon ... gotta stock up on those toxic avenger chemicals.

i'm also still doodling with pickguard shapes - i usually draw straight on the guitar with a soft pencil til i get the proportions right and the controls in the right place.

it'll get a dark green metallic, ( inspired by fender's sherwood green i suppose ) that will be smoked around the edges like this one ...

it's currently in primer and i'm working on the pickguard today.

That sounds nice! I love how the edge is done on that red guitar, very unique.

Your work is amazing! Those guitars are so unique and beautiful, I can't think of any other people making such interesting designs. I imagine playing one of the aluminum neck ones would be like playing a bicycle (in a good way). :thumb: :thumb:
