This kind of news makes me laugh. Veterans should suck it up, it's not that hard to build a memorial that doesn't waste money.

I would think Veterans would love the country and not want it wasting MORE money on useless things.

Why would they build a monument that needs to constantly consume gas?

Being a veteran myself (5 years in the USMC, two tours in Iraq) I think that the idea is very honorable, but yes, it's not very practical to waste energy to honor our Vets. Must have been Bush's idea...

I'm a vet also (3 tours Viet Nam, and much later a couple of other altercations)
I think the intentions were very good, but probably wasn't thought out completely.
Cliff; you only have a few more days to blame Bush for every thing.
After next Tuesday, if your car won't start it will be Obama's fault.

In the Catholic Church they have that candle that they have lit all the time except for on the days around Easter.... Maybe we could steal that technique.

That would depend on your definition of sane (God, I sound like Clinton).
As normal does seem to be an egocentric concept, I'm perfectly normal.
Years ago not so much maybe.
Every so often I go and talk to my friends at the wall.
And when I just have to scream, I plug in my Devi pedals and ride the rage until it feels better.
Oh and I talk back to the TV too.
So yes I'm sane.

Well, it's good that you're still here, and not rocking yourself in a corner jumping at every sound
