https://twitter.com/cedricbixler_Kinda okay with it. I got to see them play an amazing 3 hour show a couple years ago. They also put out a ton of great albums and I'm sure Cedric and Omar will keep making music

Fuck Omar. Seriously. Dude's been dragging his feet this whole time during the ATDI reunion and for the last TMV shows. The ATDI shows I can understand, because his mother passed away just before they started the tour, but he was soulless for the TMV Noctourniquet shows.
Cedric wanted to bring back Ikey and even Jon Theodore... god damn it all. Hell even Ikey wanted to get the original band back:
hopefully one day we'll all get back together again
Seems like they really cut some ties too. Cedric:
And for the record I'm still in love with ATDI. Proof was in MY performance. I would never get on stage if my heart was else where.
Bosnian Rainbows is a whole new level of shit. I really dug his ORLG stuff around 2010 but then it all went downhill. The latest stuff with Teri Gender Bender is atrocious:

Saw them in '05. Terrific show.
The last few records haven't really done anything for me, but it's still a bummer knowing that I probably won't be able to catch them again.

One of those bands that were in town when I was out of town, wish I oculd have seen them. They are my gf's fav band from when she was in highschool, so I know she is sad.

Definitely my favorite band
But I could have saw this coming unfortunately
Although I am surprised that it seems like omar and Cedric had a falling out
Guys have been making incredible music for 20 years and attached at the hip.
So that's kind of sad :/

I was pretty disappointed by their last record, but loved just about everything else they did. I doubt they'll stop making music together. Just not in TMV. Would have loved to see them live though. Maybe some day in the future. Nobody really expected ATDI to get back together, you know?
Personally I enjoy Bosnian Rainbows. One of the great things about these guys is that they are always putting out something new and different.

I don't know about my feels relating to this breakup. I've only really dug like four songs since Goliath. On the other hand, 2002 - 2008 stuff is so gosh darn fucking tits and I never got an opportunity to see them live. Things seemed to get a little stale and tired and maybe that's why Omar has kind of distanced himself from the band in the last couple years. I still think this is a hiatus. Cedric seemed pretty dramatic in those tweets. A break from each other is what they need.
Also I think that Bosnian Rainbows song is pretty kickass. Omar is probably the most eclectic musician since Zappa. I saw Le Butchettes open for QOTSA a year or so ago and Teri ate a bunch of fruit on stage and spit it on the crowd. It was p coll.

i'm a little weary of them making music together as it seems by cedric's post that they have a little beef.
and now sargent house is firing comments back and cedric's wife is getting involved.
thomas pridgen has been talking shit as well
it's basically become a huge shitstorm and the only who hasn't made any comments yet is omar.
which at this point he may be better off.
regardless
i'm still excited to see bosnian rainbows next month
