know whats cold man?
the fucking built in distortion on mixing boards.
I have a little yamaha board, 8 ch. with built in effects.
Auto wah? Kinda nice, phaser, maybe even usable. The distortion? wow.
I mean its actually dynamics-less. If you took your guitar sound and converted it to lowest grade mp3 then pissed on it.
I kind of like it.

If you are talking about cold, inorganic, and synthetic in an awesome way, my vote is for the Synthmonger Fuzzmonger. Super synthy and gated with CV control.

DanDubbleEwe has one in B/S/T right now on the cheap.

the distortion settings on the Yamaha GEP-50 rackmount are quite spikey and awful.
