Fingerprint appreciation thread

I got a Fingerprint built by TuffTeef for this year's Secret Santa
at first i was like "wow, this is way crazy and awesome, but will i be able to use it in the band?"
now, I'M MOST DEFINITELY USING IT IN THE BAND... the only thing i'm not a fan of is the volume change between when the switch is flippd to the crazy octave mode and when it's not... but whatever
a) Taste The Bacon boost set for light boost -> the usual mid-gained Fuck -> Fingerprint is my new favourite lead sound... even though it's not a high gain lead sound which i usually prefer, it's got a fuckton of harmonics and an awesome spanky and twangy yet very evil tone
b) on it's own it's just an awesome drive
c) can make lasersounds, octave fuzz and jumpy glitches... even though it gets uncomfortably noisy at times with those settings, but i have grounding issues with my guitar and single coils
d) feeding a Rat (that's soon gonna be changed for the Elements), it's supersilkysmooth and awesome
e) fed by the Heliotrope, it's just crazy trashy textural fuzz
I LOVE IT

Yep I really like mine that Tom made... I was moving it around the other night and think it sounds Awesome with the Fuck and Ele and of course with the Algal... It's got its own sound that I like by itself and mixed with other stuff... Unique sounds with low to mid grind...

I like it more after low gain, but before high gain... so i will probably just put the Elements instead of the Rat and see what it sounds like into Elements

so do they stack well?
it's... gritty, but pretty medium gain, i like that

if you like gritty mid-gain fuzz with the potential to go quite bonkers, then do it

I love my Fingerprint. It's been my go to fuzz for years, the mainstay of my board. I was playing with it earlier today and I'm still so excited by its sound, even after so many years. It may not sound exactly like the blown out 90s shoegaze sounds that inspired it, but damn if it doesn't sound awfully close sometimes, closer than anything else I've tried. Moreover, there is just something about it that feels "right" when you're rocking a Jazzmaster's trem arm.

fingerprints are my favorite freaking fuzztoanz EVER. EVER. the nasty things I would do to get my toes on one.......
and it's funny, I was thinking how awesome it'd sound into a fuck, and fed by heliotrope, and you mmention both! fuck yeah fuck yeah!
