Ok, I really wanted to make this into a video and post it up on Youtube. But I didn’t have time since I only thought of this a few days ago. And I was trying to get Donny to be my announcer guy and run around calling me “Fukai-san” but he wasn’t available because he was being crushed by his speaker cabs or something.

Black screen. A quote is displayed:

“Planets are ambient as fuck” - The Philosopher Achtane.

A drumroll. Fuzz Stadium is shown. It looks like a Guitar Center barfed equipment onto the Pink Floyd stage at Pompeii.

Announcer/ref:
Five days ago, a man’s fantasy became a reality. In a form never seen before. Fuzz Stadium, a giant recording arena. The motivation for creating this stadium was to encounter new, original sounds, which could be called true artistic creations.

Chairman:
The participants have one month to record a song. If they should win, they gain the people’s ovation and will have fame forever. In every battle, reputations are on the line in Fuzz Stadium.

Announcer:
What inspiration do the challengers bring this day?! The volume will be up and the pedals will be on!

Chairman:
This month’s song was recorded in 1970 by Black Sabbath, on the album Paranoid. It is considered one of the most classic metal songs of all time, and features a catchy riff and a killer solo. I love this solo, and so I think it is time that we had it as a challenge. Today’s challenge:
War Pigs!

more drum roll. Wide panning shot of Fuzz Stadium.

Cut to the chairman biting into a green pepper

Chairman:
ALLEZ FUZZ

zoom back out to show all the roadies and other crew ready to record in Fuzz Stadium.

Chairman:
And of course we need a secret ingredient to this month’s challenge! As I have heard many say that they do not like this effect, let’s bring out the secret ingredient!

*smoke clears as a pedestal rises from the stage*

A Small Clone and a Boss CE-1 are display tastefully in a salad of lettuce and asparagus.

Announcer:
This month’s secret ingredient is CHORUS. Entries must include chorus effects! I can’t believe it! The chairman is a crazy man!

Chairman:
Let the games begin!

Announcer:
Now Chorus, as we all know, is produced when a sound is taken and mixed with a delayed, and sometimes pitch-modulated copy of itself.

Is this specific to the effect one typically gets from a chorus pedal, then? Because I don't want to get my shit mixed up, do some harmonizing or delays thinking that it meets the criteria, and then not be a qualified entry :P

You could make the argument that delay+harmonizing constitutes doing your own chorus. Or add it in your DAW (GarageBand or whatever); it doesn't have to be a pedal. Or have a choir sing it (if you can arrange that!) and argue that it represents the natural chorus effect.

Basically, I won't disqualify anyone. Do what you want! The constraints are there for your benefit. :thumb:

This is amazing, good job with the intro, really captured the epic feel of the original.
So looking forward to this.
How should the songs be submitted? Soundcloud or something?
