Get the one with tone wicker. It's the same circuit (obviously with added wicker), smaller enclosure, and only a little bit more.

i don't know, man... these are just huge, have a minijack for power supply and get lost in the mix like hotcakes.... wait...

just saying - i'd use one in a studio for a solo, because they have an awesome unique character above 12th fret with neck pickup... otherwise it's a big no-no for me, because they have just about -1050 mids

It's kind of a one trick pony. Super saturated and scooped. A rat comes handy to avoid getting lost in the mix. Also takes fuzz faces and superfuzzes.

I picked one up for 40 bucks new and have recorded with it for a wooly, warm, scoooooooooped fuzz sound that sounds muffy and saturated (not nearly as good as the greenie of course). Live is a big no-no!! Say goodbye to being heard! I think it is a nice thing to have around just in case all of your other fuzz pedals mysteriously melt into your floor.

A few dollars more will get you a used Black Russian.

If you are getting a discount off the already low price, I say hit it.
The newest one I have is from 2007-2008 and if nothing has changed
since then then, I think it's definitely worth trying.

Hey I had a tone wicker like 2 years ago. I mostly used it with the switches off. It was fun but most positions of the sustain knob sounded the same and the tone wasn't useful out of the 10 - 2 range. But it sounded like a beast going into a ds-1. It made this mega fuzzy, mega compressed mess

The big box NYC muff was my very first pedal, and I loved the shit out of it. Nowadays, I find that there are other muff variants I prefer to it, but it's still not a bad pedal. For as cheap as they are, you could do a whole hell of a lot worse.

You can also remove two diodes and make it a supa tone bender.

If nothing else it makes for a classy paperweight.
