I'm thinking of getting one to use for bass, yay or nay? Fairly loud head? Any other Peavey/cheap loud bass heads?

Go for it man, from what I gather, the only fault with them is that the distortion channel is mediocre.
But that is easy to work around.

Ha, you guys don't even know how much the one I'm looking at is!
It's $400.
Just kidding. I just saw one on MusicGoRound for $60, and they say sold AS IS. I emailed them asking what they mean by that. If it's internally broken, I'll probably buy it 'cuz I'm smarter than all get out and fix that shit right up (maybe).
