Looking for a bit of jonsi without the cost of the strymon blue sky or eventide space. I was thinking of the new hardwire supernatural. What does the board think?

To spice things up, I'll suggest something other than the Muza - Red Panda's Context. I actually downgraded from the Space to the Context and I think it sounds slightly better although it does much less. They're $225 which isn't super cheap, but isn't trade-your-firstborn-child either.

Don't quote me but I think Jonsi used a Boss RV-3, which can be had for around $110 to $120 on eBay. I don't have any experience with one but I have one in the mail as we speak so I can report back soon.

Sigur Ros uses all rack reverb, mostly lexicons and AMS, so a pedal with similar reverb to lexicon rack units is the hardwire rv-7 since it has their verbs in it. However the rv-3 is awesome for ambient so i nominate that one too.

EQD Ghost Echo. you know how some reverb pedals are just reverbs, and some are environments? the GE is an environment. i also love the RV-3. RV-3 and Ghost Echo in the same chain is like being touched inappropriately by an angel.

Having used the RV-3 and Hardwire RV-7, I don't think either gets wet/loud/deep/long enough.

Reverse delay into reverse reverb, with tap tempo and a looper that sucks for looping but is great for TEH AMBIENTS? For $100?
Heck yeah man.
One of the reverbs on mine had a weird artifact as the effect faded out, but that's about it...
The fake spring reverb even does a fake reverb tank crash if you hit it with a strong enough signal.

I've been gas'ing after the Context as well. For this very reason.

I'll take a shot...TWSS

But I second the Ghost echo for very wet, atmospheric, and ambient verb with a dense fog to it. Also, the RRR can get extremely wet, fully soaked out in a haze of verb. Both can get ambient, add a delay pedal in and you are in outter space. :!!!:
