I got a original Electric Mistress

I just bought a 70's Electric Mistress off of ebay, looks ugly as hell (that's the way I like them) and I cannot wait to get it. Just wanted to say something about that. Has anyone play one of those before? The reason I got one of those is because I love the flange tones of Pink Floyd and The Police, and I could really use a good flange. The main Flanger that I have is a T-Rex Twister which I won on Effectbay two years ago. I had a 90's Deluxe Electric Mistress, but it didn't do wonders for me and I have played a original Electric Mistress, and the tone is wayyyyy different than the Deluxe. It will go well with my 90's Memory Man. I plan on getting a original memory man with the boost knob and a Strymon Blue Sky with mod and shimmer effects.

I've got a Hartman. It comes close, but it's not quite there. Not as warm and fat as a real Electric Mistress.

You'll get a bit more headroom with the 18V version. I normally can't stand flangers, but that's a good one.

Right on! I love flangers of all kinds. I've had an MXR m117 for awhile. I digs it.

I got the 18 volt version of it. Now, I have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to it.

I was going to get the Hartman due to my Boutique craze but I just love old Electro Harmonix stuff, I even have the rare EHX Slapback Echo pedal but with a different name and it has the 50/100 ms switch. I got in a trade, guy offered me to take it for my ICE 9 Overdrive, plus 20 bucks cash for me. It was a good deal.

Yeah, I got the Hartman because I though it'd be a more solid build than EH and thus more reliable. (Lately I've been getting a little weary of vintage or older pedals.) I'm not unhappy with it, It sounds pretty good. It's just that Electric Mistress style flangers are a little limited by design. They're not as versatile as I'd wish 'em to be. They sound great at what they do however. I just need a bit more out of a flanger. Love that Filter Matrix though. Itchin' to try out a SubDecay Starlight DLX.

Subdecay pedals are ok. I had the Echobox two times and one minute I need it and next I don't need it. I'm either wanting a Strymon El Capistan or a T-Rex Reptile. Something that goes well with Fuzz pedals. Like Pink Floyd's "TIME" solo.

Well, Gilmour loved his Electric Mistress.
I'm sure you've seen all the Gilmour gear sites. Kit Rae's a Gilmour fanatic. He's got a lot of good info:
