Air Traffic Controller is available!!!

While playing guitar I can now control an Airbus A380 jetliner...
Go to
http://raingerfx.com/air_traffic.html to hear audio.
It's simple to use - but has a ton of sounds in it.
I don't think there's anything else quite like it...
The white noise generator and LED microprocessor are digital, while the distortion, filter, and controls are all analogue - the best of both worlds.
Every day I spend waaaaaaaay too much time playing through it...

Sounds cool! Very different take on the envelope filter thing for sure.

Thanks! I guess it is kind of envelope filter-y, but stronger - and with a lot of attitude... (In a 'techno' way?)

Yeah, I don't mean that it sounds anything like envelope filters, just because it has the envelope controlled filter they're a point of reference?

Either way, the LPF, distortion and white noise interact in a cool way.

Yeah - you're right, it can do that fonky envelope thing though. It's weird, that wasn't in the original intention - but at one stage I thought 'hey - at this point I could easily add an envelope-type thing...'
I was originally thinking about chorus pedals, and how I should try one - but I'm never much into chorus... So I thought 'well what about something else that adds together with the guitar sound?'...

Is there any way to get around my irrational hatred for asymmetrical effects and a terminal lack of space on the pedal board? Just heard Kayzer's demo and it ruled my face.

I find the way round the irrational asymmetrical effects hatred is to stand just slightly to one side of it... and squint.
Hmm, maybe.
Dennis is such a great player!

I want one of these pretty fuckin bad. I may have to sell some shit.
Also, anyway you're going to be making more COMPACTOTRON C-2? HOLY CRAP. The video and sound clip are AMAZING. Probably the coolest thing I've ever heard.

Yes - I've got to do the Compactotron again! That was just the best thing....
I've got a new pedal about to happen that does something similar to it. Stay tuned -

http://raingerfx.com/air-traffic.htmlRex Kramer: Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Once you get out of the terminal building to where the plane is parked for re-fuelling, you can usually get some baseball cards in the spokes OK... The hard thing is getting access to the restricted area.
