DL-4 tone issue....

I'm sure this has popped up a zillion times, but do any of you DL4 users notice a tone difference between the looping mode on it and the delay modes? I noticed while trying to record the other day that while in looping mode, the tone is bassier, a bit darker, and maybe a bit more mid-range-y. Anyone else get this? The manual (to my knowledge) doesn't mention this, so I wonder if there's a way to get around it without adjusting all my other tones when I want to loop. Thanks doods.

Stupid question but do you have all the knobs turned all the way to the left besides the mix?
Now I have to go and check to see if my tone changes in loop mode, although nothing has jumped out to me that I can remember.

Yup. Tried that. It's not a
huuuge difference, but it's noticeable mainly because I use such thick and bassy fuzzes. When I flip to the delay modes, or am not even using the DL4, there's a lot more high end clarity. So it's either bumping up the lows, etc, or it's cutting something. I never noticed it until I was recording through a mic (Sennheiser e609; that I know is pretty sensitive to bass frequencies) and changed the modes on it. Through the studio headphones, it was way more noticeable than just standing in the room.

I sampled some fuzzy riffs into a DD7 so I could play with the setting on the DL4; listened to it with my ears, in the room, not through the mic and headphones. I can still hear the change. My point with the sennheiser was just that I never noticed it until then. Since it's more sensitive to those frequencies, the change was more apparent. So it's not a huge deal, but it is annoying enough for me to look into. Especially since I already spend too much time tweaking my tones instead of writing riffs and such...
Feels like I was wasting time trying to clear up my tone when all I had to do was take the DL4 out of the chain....
I'll probably just look into getting a better sampler/looper and use the DL4 for all the crazy delays it has.
