So I have a half-stack at home that just barely fits in my car, and most of the time that is just way too much for weekly rehearsals and small shows. What I really want is to carry an amp in one hand, pedalboard in the other, and guitar on my back, and not collapse halfway to the venue. Any suggestions? It needs to be pretty loud (to be heard with a fairly ape-like drummer), take pedals well, and have enough clean headroom to actually..you know, play clean. Actually the biggest priority is that it's light enough to not take my arm off when I travel. Also, I hate the ZT lunchbox.

I've been looking at the AC15C1 and Blues Jr., for an idea of how much I'd be willing to spend. Ideally I'd just buy a Swart, but shit those things are expensive. Anyone? HALP PLS.

Also dont be afraid to try solid state heads...it will really save you on weight

Tweed blues jr if it were me. Tweed kicks assvand the greenback in the tweed sounds better than the stock Jenson imo

AC15s aren't that light, if you ask me. It's nearly 50 lbs, whereas the Blues Jr is only about 30.
So in terms of weight alone I would say, of those two, go for the Blues Jr.

Maybe look at a Princeton if you don't mind a 10" speaker.

Egnater Rebel 20 or 30, or Tweaker 15 or 40 are some options that you can get for a reasonable price and offer some tonal flexibility, and aren't half bad for what they are. I have a Tweaker 1x12 extension cab that's pretty decent for the money, plus Egnater stuff is on sale, with an additional rebate from GC right now (which may not help you in Singapore, I don't know) so you can get new stuff for used prices.

Also as suggested above, there are some decent ss amps in that arena, Roland Cube comes to mind.

This is true. You're probably not going to want to carry this more than like down the street, but I dunno if you're totally ripped or what.

In terms of toan, the ac15 is way better I think. We just added one to my band a few weeks ago and it is freaking awesome. I haven't even tried any pedals with it yet because it sounds so good by itself.

Agreed, our keyboardist / guitarists AC15 weighs alot more than i expected. It's a lil rough on me one handed and i'm 6'5" 240lbs. It does get alot louder than i expected, but its not exactly clean at that volume.

How about the Ampeg GVT series? They have 15 watt and 50 watt combos, and I think some people have here have spoken highly of them.

Sounded great, super light, and reasonably cheap. It looks like it's discontinued though.

They are small, 50 watts, and around 30lbs in weight. The clean channel on them is superb.

I'd walk right down the hill and buy that brown fender blues thingy at my local shop. But you dont live at my house, so that probably wont work.
