I know we talk a lot shit about them, but I realized the other day, I have no idea what that sound actually is. Or what pedals that emulate that sound are. So, like, let's educate ourselves a bit? One must know one's enemy, y'know?

I mean, I know it's all Tubescreamer. But like, what is it about them that TGP is drooling about? Or what's the flavor of the week?

Listen, KID. These Dumble tones are legendary for a reason. They're versatile enough to be used in any genre of music; rock to hard rock and everything in between. When you nail a sweet, liquid overdrive tone, that's all you need -- an extension of your guitar, like an extension of your own body. Tone is in the fingers. This is a real usable tone, not like those toys you young folk make godawful noises with -- that's all it is, noise. Stop hiding behind your effects and learn to play some real workin' man's blues. REAL music.
