Delay request/questions!

I don't if this is the right place to post this but I'm not sure who or where to ask

I just feel like I've been looking for the right delay for forever!
I want a delay with tap tempo, trails, effects loop, and around 800-900ms of delay time without costing as much as a timeline. And something that's not overly complicated or finicky and feeds back too easily.
And I cannot find a delay to fit this. Is it possible to mod an effects loop into a Memory Lane Jr. or a Tech 21 delay (just examples)? And who could do that for me? I have no idea how

Or is there a kit or independent (maybe ILF!) builder who can build up a nice 3-4 knob delay with tap, trails, and an effects loop? I've been looking around the shark tank and haven't gotten far. I know that's kind of a lot to ask for but still.
Anyway thanks for any suggestions!

Seymour Duncan deja vu or ehx's dlx memory boy....I've had both and they are both very good delays and fit your description.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the deja vu. The dudes in their videos kinda make me not too fond of seymour duncan pedals though. But it's an option!
The memory boy doesn't have trails though. :/

Diamond Memory Lane Jr.
Maybe expensive... but worth it.

The DD-20 has everything except the FX loop as well.
Trails are tough to find because most builders are using true bypass nowadays, and you can't do trails with true bypass.

There's this small daughter board called taptation that you can add to any pt2399 delay to add tap tempo to it. It's like a digital pot and adds mod and stuff if you want it as well. I'm adding it to my echo dream cause I love that thing... They have one for analogue delays too somewhere. For the taptation you replace the time pot on your delay with the taptation digital pot and then connect it up to pin 6 of your delay chip it's an easy mod. Effects loops and such are not too hard either. I started modding about two months ago and once you get into it it really opens up what you can do.
What I'm saying is it's pretty easy to mod effects to be exactly what you want as long as you like the initial sound of the delay. I spent years chasing what I wanted based on features but nothing is ever going to be perfect... Maybe best to work backwards from the end sound you want and then modify it to do what you want it to because that's always easier.

That's how I'm leaning right now. I was going to email them and see if you can get one modded for an fx loop. They have a section of their website about custom orders. I can't get over how an octaver in a delay's loop sounds. Or a chorus or bit crusher or anything really. It all seems so fun, and usable too! since I use a delay a lot.
I just want an easy transition from trails and tap and delay times that I'm used to to a delay with an effects loop

I'll have to check that out. I've built two easy pedals from byoc. But I only did that cause they were on sale and I wanted to learn to solder to put a new pot in my guitar since the local music stores wanted a fortune for it. I feel overwhelmed though with the thought of delving into resistors and transistors and pedal mods

Definitely, get the MLjr (minus the loop).. it'll end your delay search, well.. at least it'll cover your basic needs before you crave for other delay companions :-)

Thanks for the help, duders! I think I'll go for the diamond. I just needed a little push in the right direction!
