xmas gifts for loved ones(mandolin content)

i noticed in the gas thread
delta gettin dope pedal for sig. other
anyone else gettin gear for others
my gf plays mandolin and singing saw
wanted to integrate her int my project somehow
besides straight recorded mandolin
so watcha gettin your peeps gear wise
and any ideas on pickups and effects for 'lin would help

I run my mando through fuzz and modulation all the time, it sounds fucking awesome, with all of the high freq content the mando puts out, and the unison strings do funky things to fuzzes too.

My wife isn't a musician, so no dice for getting gear for each other.

Also, since these ate so bright, maybe look into some dark-voiced fx for them, like the Dirge Electronics Cave Dweller delay.

My mando has a pickup on it already. Not sure if she'd be cool with sticking a pickup on her mando, but that's the route I'd go.
