How do I mount a speaker?

I got an Avatar G112, and am confused as to how to put the speaker in. I'm used to taking the grill off, and setting the speaker in the hole and screwing it in on the side that has the cone, like how most bass cabs are:

My cab is closed back, so I took the back off and it looks like it screws on the opposite side like this:

In this picture you can see the perimeter of the speaker sits on the inside (speaking relative as to where the grill is, if that makes any sense).

But other pictures on the internet look like this,

Also, I'm having a REAL hard time removing the speaker grill from this cabinet. :idk:

It should load from the back.
Did it come with screws?

Yes, it does. They are screwed into the back. So, that white cab I posted would be back load (that's the type that I have) and then the V30 one would be front load?

I'm not sure I understand but....

You should be able to:
1) Completely remove the back panel of the cab.
2) Remove the screws that surround the speaker hole.
3) Line the holes of the speaker frame up with the holes where those screws were.
4) Put the screws through the holes in the speaker frame and tighten them down to the baffle.
5) Connect speaker wires.
6) Test to make sure it works.
7) Screw the back panel back on.
8) Ruin your life playing the devil's music.

This should all be done from the back and you shouldn't have to remove the grill at all.
The front of the speaker frame should tighten down against the baffle from the back.

MEC speaks truth, everything should load from the back. Best to install with cab laying face/grill down too so that magnet weight isn't pulling while your trying to tighten things up.

Leave that grill alone tho, probably wrapped tight on a frame and secured with the baffle. Not meant to pop right out like an Ampeg bass cab grill...

Okay, cool. Thanks, guys. Yeah, was just unfamiliar with loading everything from the back. Jammed for like an hour with the Cannabis Rex I just got. Good shit.
